Baking with Anna

During the cultural week, students of 4th ESO took a break to bake with Anna. They learned how to make scones with cream and jam, typical English treat that is usually taken in the afternoon, with a cup of tea, of course!
 Really proud of their work!
We had a really good time.
 Into the oven!
Look at these scones!

Oops! A marañuela creapt in! : )

DUTCH STUDENTS VISIT LUANCO

The first part of the exchange with the school “Marne College” from Bolsward (The Netherlands) took place from the 17th to the 23rd of March. Seven Dutch students accompanied by a teacher visited Luanco and stayed with their partners’ families.

The day they arrived Spanish students showed them around the school. Next day, the Dutch students participated in the lessons with their partners and gave a talk about their country, town and school. That same day Spanish students prepared a tour in Luanco so that their new friends could get to know it as soon as possible and they also visited the Asturias Maritime Museum placed in our town.

Families organized different activities at the weekend.

Visits to the most important landmarks in Asturias, such as Covadonga and the lakes, Oviedo and Avilés were organized the following week days.

The experience was very positive and interesting for the students.

Here you can see some photos of the different activities.

Cervantes & Shakespeare

As 2016 marks the 400th anniversary of the deaths of William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes, the students of 1st ESO Bilingual 2 prepared a presentation about their lives and works. It was really interesting and most of us learned a lot about the two authors.

The students also prepared a photostory version of their presentations for the celebration of Book Day at school.
