Interview with Anna by 4th ESO students

This year at school we are lucky to have Anna Lee as our teacher. She comes from Nottingham, England and she is 20 years old. She is studying Spanish and French at university and she wants to work as a teacher in the future. Let’s discover some things about her!

4^th ESO BIL. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

ANNA. When I was at school I spent two years fundraising and then we spent a month in Borneo. We worked for a charity planting trees, building a kindergarten and teaching English. It was tough being in the jungle with no electricity, and I missed my mobile phone very much! But it was a great experience.

4^th ESO BIL. Who are your heroes in real life?

ANNA. Selfless people. People like nurses, firefighters, … people who sacrifice themselves to help other people.

4^th ESO BIL. What is your motto?

ANNA. Carpe diem, seize the day. I think we can’t take life too seriously, and we should laugh at our mistakes.

4^th ESO BIL. If you were to die and come back as another person or thing, who or what would you choose?

ANNA. I would come back as a cat, because they do whatever they want and have a very easy life. Or I would like to come back as a ghost, to haunt people.

4^th ESO BIL. What’s the quality you most admire in a man?

ANNA. In any person I admire a good sense of humour, I like people who make me laugh. I also like men who can cook!

4^th ESO BIL. What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

ANNA. I consider the most overrated virtue immortality. Lots of people think that immortality is a cool thing but they do not realise that if they live forever they would be living on their own.

4^th ESO BIL. Which talent would you most like to have?

 ANNA. I find dancing a very important talent in people; I’d love to be able to dance. However, I can’t do it.

4^th ESO BIL. Where would you like to live?

ANNA. To be honest, I’d like to live in Asturias because I’m very happy here. I find people from Asturias much more friendly than people from Britain.

4^th ESO BIL. What do you most value in your friends?

ANNA. The thing that I most value in my friends is loyalty and, since I’m always the one who does and says stupid things, I really value the ability in my friends to laugh with me.

4^th ESO BIL. What are your favourite names?

ANNA. I think Spanish names are much cooler than English names. I find English names quite boring. I like Alejandro, Roberto, Rafa and Jaime for boys and Claudia, Lucia and Laura for girls. In English, I like Laura, Lauren, Bela, Ruby for girls and Tristan, Elijah and Callum for boys.

4^th ESO BIL. How would you like to die?

ANNA. I would like to die laughing and surrounded by all my loved ones.
